Brûlée in French means burnt is a dessert consisting of a rich custard or cream base topped with a layer of hardly caramel , by burning sugar under a grill , blowtorch or other intense heat source , then served cold in a small glazed ceramic serving bowl ( usually ramekins ) . Ingredients:
8 peaches from a can ( syrup drained ) , sliced thickly |
double cream , whipped , cold |
1/2 c sugar |
1/4 c water |
Directions:
1. Place the peaches in 4 seving bowls . 2. Pour the whipped cream on top . 3. Keep it chilled . 4. Now , in low heat , stir the sugar and water in a small pan 5. until the sugar dissolves . 6. Bring to boil and simmer until toffee turns golden brown . 7. It may take around 10 mins . 8. Remove from heat and wait until bubbles disappears . 9. Drizzle over cream and cool for 2 mins or so and serve at once . |
