I love this recipe! I got it from one of my favorite cookbooks, Amish Country Cookbook: Favorite recipes gathered by Das Dutchmen Essenhaus . I tweeked it just a little bit, I hope you all enjoy! Ingredients:

1 tbs. cornstarch |
1/4 cup brown sugar |
1/2 cup cold water |
2 cups fresh peaches |
3 tbs. sugar |
1 cup fresh blueberries |
1 tbs. butter |
1 tbs. lemon juice |
cobbler crust |
1 cup ap flour |
1/2 cup sugar |
1-1/2 tsp. baking powder |
1/2 tsp. salt |
1/2 cup milk |
1/4 cup butter (softened) |
nutmeg topper |
1/4 tsp. nutmeg |
2 tbs. sugar |
Directions:
1. COBBLER: 2. Mix first four ingredients with fruit in a saucepan. 3. Cook over medium to medium-high heat and stir until thick. 4. Add butter and lemon juice, remove from heat and pour into a baking dish. 5. TOPPING: 6. Sift dry ingredients, add milk and butter at once, beat with electric mixer until smooth. 7. Spread over fruit. 8. NUTMEG TOPPER: 9. In a separate small bowl, stir nutmeg and sugar together. 10. Sprinkle over topping. 11. Bake in a preheated 350 F. oven for 30 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. |
