Ingredients:
2 1/2 cup split peas, green, rinsed
3 quarts water
1 cup onion, chopped
4 tbsp bouillon, chicken
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp pepper
1 1/2 cups carrot, thinly sliced
1 cup celery, diced
Directions:
1. Combine peas, water and bouillon or equal amount of chicken broth, chopped onion, garlic and pepper. Simmer uncovered for 1 1/2 hours. Stir in carrots and celery and simmer until carrots are tender.
2. Serving size, 1 cup
