There are 35 other (crockpot)Pea Soup recipes on Zaar. This one is just a little different. It comes from a book called The Unwatched Pot . I'm sure this can be frozen. Ingredients:
2 cups dried split peas |
1 cup onion, chopped |
1/2 cup celery, sliced |
1 ham hocks or 1/4 lb salt pork |
1 bay leaf |
1 teaspoon salt |
6 peppercorns |
Directions:
1. Soak peas in water overnight. 2. Combine all ingredients in cooker. Cover with water. 3. Cook on low 10-12 hours or high 5-6 hours. |
