Paula Deens Fried Onion Rings With Chili Sauce |

Made these the other night and they were so good. A simple coating so all the onion flavor is right there with every bite. So easy to make. Ingredients:
chili sauce |
1 cup mayonnaise |
3 tablespoons chili sauce |
1 teaspoon chili powder |
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper |
onion rings |
vegetable oil to fry (i used canola) |
2 medium white or yellow onions( i used sweet onions) |
1 teaspoon seasoned salt |
2 cups all-purpose flour |
salt |
Directions:
1. Preheat oil in a deep-fryer or Dutch oven to 360 2. Chili sauce 3. Combine mayonnaise, chili sauce, chili powder, and cayenne in mixing bowl and stir well 4. Cover and chill until serving time 5. Onion Rings 6. Slice onions into very thin rings and separate rings 7. On baking sheet, spread out and sprinkle with seasoned salt 8. Put flour in resealable plastic bag 9. Put the onion rings in the bag in batches, close tightly, and shake until coated 10. Fry onion rings in batches for 3- 4 minutes, until they are brown and crispy (Only took me 2-3 minutes) 11. Remove with tongs and drain on paper towels 12. Taste and season with salt, if necessary |
