My friend gave us this bread as a Christmas gift. We liked it so much we had to have the recipe. Ingredients:
4 eggs |
3 cups sugar |
1 cup salad oil |
2/3 cup water |
1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin |
3 1/2 cups flour |
1 1/3 teaspoons salt |
1/2 teaspoon baking powder |
2 teaspoons baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg |
3 tablespoons melted butter |
1 cup powdered sugar |
1 teaspoon coffee, hot |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. Beat sugar and eggs. 2. Add oil. 3. Combine dry ingredients in separate bowl and add alternately with pumpkin and water to egg mixture. 4. Pour into 3 5x9 inch pans or 6-8 3x6 inch pans and bake 1 hour at 325 degrees. 5. Combine topping ingredients and pour over warm bread. |
