People who have to take heavy-duty pain medications on a regular basis typically get constipated - it's a BIG problem. The food you eat can affect this dilemma. Here's a recipe to relieve this bothersome difficulty without having to add more pills to your medical regimen. Ingredients:
2 large oranges |
1 teaspoon sugar |
Directions:
1. Peel the oranges. 2. Cut them in half and separate the sections. Sprinkle the sugar (or, you can use Splenda) over them. 3. Snack on the orange sections over a 1-hour period each and every morning. 4. Relief! 5. NOTE: DON'T substitute grapefruit for the oranges if you're taking blood pressure medicine - grapefruit causes an undesireable drug interaction. |
