Sweet yeast bread or dinner rolls Ingredients:
2 1/4 ounces yeast |
2 cups warm water |
3/4 cup sugar |
1 egg |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/4 cup lard |
5 cups flour |
Directions:
1. Mix together first six ingredients with electric mixer. 2. Add 5-6 cups flour & knead well. 3. Let rise in well oiled, covered bowl. 4. Punch down. 5. Make into loaves or rolls an let rise until double. 6. Bake at 325 for 20-25 minutes for small loaves. |
