Good hearty soup, low in fat, vegetarian, complete protein. Ingredients:
1/2 cup dried split peas |
1/2 cup uncooked white rice |
1/2 cup dry lentils |
1/2 cup barley |
1 medium onion |
1 tablespoon dried parsley |
1 teaspoon granulated garlic |
1 teaspoon ground black pepper |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder |
1 teaspoon italian seasoning |
1 teaspoon dried sage |
10 cups water |
Directions:
1. Place ingredients in large stockpot and cover with 10 cups of water. 2. Bring to a boil, lower heat, cover and cook for 30 minutes to an hour. |
