This pastry ball looks and tastes elegant-great for parties. Ingredients:
2 pepperidge farms patty shells |
7 ounces gouda cheese, in a ball |
1 egg, beaten |
Directions:
1. Thaw patty shells and roll into an 8-inch circle. 2. Remove the wax coating on the cheese; cover the cheese with the pastry and seal the edges well. 3. Refrigerate for several hours. 4. Glaze with the beaten egg. 5. Bake at 400°F for 10 minutes, then reduce to 350°F and bake for 10 minutes more. 6. Remove from oven and let stand for 30 minutes. 7. Serve with crackers. |
