This is a matize favorite. Great to snack on right out of the oven. Ingredients:
filo dough or pie crust |
filling |
one container of ricotta 15 oz |
1 egg |
pinch of salt |
1/2 cup of parmesean cheese (grated) |
Directions:
1. Mix filling ingredients together. If using filo dough, take one sheet and bursh melted butter on it. Repeat with one or two layers. 2. If using pie crust, roll out till thin and cut in about three inch squares. 3. Cut filo into three inch squares also. Put a teaspoon of filling on one side and fold over. Crimp edges of pie crust. Filo should sitck together. Put on an ungreased cookie sheet with parchment paper on it. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or till golden brown. 4. Let cool a little as filling will be quite hot. |
