I know how this sounds, but it is actually a really great combination. You can change it up by adding chicken, shrimp or scallops. I also like sauted mushrooms in it. It's great for left over spaghetti noodles when you're tired of plain old marinara. Ingredients:
1/4 cup olive oil |
1 tablespoon olive oil |
1/4 cup diced onion |
4 minced garlic cloves (you can use less, we're a garlic family) |
5 slices cooked bacon, cut into quarter-sized pieces (make it extra crunchy because the olive oil softens it) |
2 cups frozen broccoli |
2 (6 ounce) cans canned tuna |
italian seasoning |
fresh ground black pepper |
1/4 cup dry white wine (this is approx. it depends on you) |
3/4 cup parmesan cheese |
1 lb cooked spaghetti |
Directions:
1. heat olive oil and saute onion and garlic until soft. 2. add broccoli and tuna, cook until broccoli is tender. 3. add bacon, Italian seasoning, black pepper and wine. Heat through. 4. Add to pasta and toss with remaining olive oil and cheese. |
