Pasta and Vegetable Carbonara |

Ingredients:
6 ounce(s) bow tie pasta (farfalle) |
8 strip(s) bacon |
1 cup(s) coarsely chopped red bell pepper |
9 ounce(s) frozen cut broccoli thawed, do not drain |
2 teaspoon(s) flour |
1/4 teaspoon(s) salt |
1/4 teaspoon(s) pepper |
3/4 cup(s) half and half |
1/4 cup(s) grated fresh parmesan |
Directions:
1. Cook Pasta to desired doneness as directed on package. Drain; keep warm 2. Cook bacon over medium heat in large skillet until crisp. Drain, reserving 1 tablespoon drippings in skillet. Crumble bacon and set aside. Add bell pepper and and broccoli to drippings; cook 3 to 5 minutes or until vegetables are crisp-tender, stirring frequently. Stir in bacon and cooked pasta. Cook 3 to 5 minutes over medium heat or until thoroughly heated, stirring frequently. 3. In small bowl, combine flour, salt, pepper and half-and-half; using wire whisk, stir until smooth. Add to mixture in skillet; cook until mixture is thickened, stirring constantly. Stir in Parmesan cheese. |
