A very simple tomato sauce recipe. Preperation 5 minutes Cooking 15-20 minutes Ingredients:
800 g tinned tomatoes |
2 onions, chopped |
1 clove garlic, crushed |
2 tsp olive oil |
2 tsp herbs, to taste |
1/2 tsp salt |
1 tbsp tomato puree, optional |
250 g whole wheat pasta |
Directions:
1. Heat the oil in a large non-stick frying pan. 2. Add the onions and fry until soft. Then add the garlic and fry another minute. 3. Add the tomatoes and herbs and simmer on a low heat for 15 minutes, adding water if needed. 4. In the meanwhile cook the pasta until al dente, drain and serve with the sauce. |
