Ingredients:
10 eggs, separated |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 cup sugar, scant |
1 cup walnuts, finely ground or 1 cup almonds |
3 tablespoons cinnamon |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. 2. Beat the egg whites with the salt. 3. Beat the egg yolks and the salt and add the sugar 1 tablespoon at a time. 4. Blend nuts and cinnamon. Add nut mixture to yolks in thirds (turn beater to low). Add whites. 5. Bake in springform pan without grease. Bake 1 hour. Use a knife to get it off sides of pan after its cooled. Let cool before removing from pan. Invert immediately. |
