This is my version of Starbuck's recipe for passion tea lemonade. If this isn't it, then it's pretty darn close. It's amazing ... and so refreshing! Ingredients:
8 cups lemonade |
8 cups boiling water |
12 tzao passion tea teabags |
simple syrup, to taste |
ice |
Directions:
1. Bring water to boil. Add tea bags and steep for 5 minutes. Discard tea bags. Pour the tea into a gallon size pitcher, and cool.. When completely cool, pour in the lemonade. Stir, and chill. 2. When ready to serve, pour the desired amount of tea-lemonade into a container fitted with a spill proof lid. (I use a mason jar.) Then add 1-4 tablespoons of the simple syrup, depending upon how sweet you want the tea-lemonade. Put the lid on the container and shake vigorously for a few minutes until a foam appears. Pour into a tall glass that has been filled with ice. Serve with a straw. 3. Makes one gallon. 4. SIMPLE SYRUP 5. Pour 1/2 cup boiling water into mason jar, add 1/2 cup white sugar. Cover, shake, and cool. Store in fridge. |
