Cool pineapple flavor, hot jalapenos. All combined with cream cheese, green pepper, and onion. Festive cheese ball presented on a bed of fresh spinach leaves, served with crackers. Ingredients:
2-8 ounce packages cream cheese, room temperature |
1 can (8 ounces) crushed pineapple, drained well |
2 cups chopped pecans |
1/4 cup chopped green pepper |
2 tablespoons chopped onion |
2 teaspoons minced jalapenos (in jar), can add more, less, or omit |
1 scant tablespoon seasoned salt (lawry's) |
dash cayenne (optional) |
fresh spinach leaves |
Directions:
1. In large bowl, combine cream cheese, pineapple, *1 cup* of the pecans, green pepper, onion, jalapenos, seasoned salt 2. Mix well 3. Shape the misture into a ball 4. Roll in the remaining *1 cup* of pecans 5. Sprinkle with cayenne 6. Refrigerate overnight 7. Place on bed of fresh spinach leaves 8. Serve with crackers 9. Oh, so good! |
