My mom has been making this recipe for years. We obtained this recipe from a party that we went to! This is great for a party; it is easy to make and everyone who tries it eats it up, even those who don't care too much for sweets. I like it better than the premade mango ice cream that you can buy from the Indian store. When I was visiting Oman several years ago, I bought a mango ice cream with strawberry syrup swirls, so now I add strawberry syrup. Whatever you choose, enjoy! Ingredients:

1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream |
                                                1 (30 ounce) can mango pulp |
strawberry syrup, if desired (i like quik) |

                    Directions:

                                1. Place the ice cream in a large bowl and soften in the refrigerator about 1 hour before preparing. 2. Take out ice cream, place in a large punch bowl (or use the previous bowl) and add mango pulp, mixing well to incorporate. 3. Serve in goblet glasses and finish with strawberry syrup if desired. |
