I have had this recipe for over 20 years. it's quick and delicious and has many variations. People always ask for the recipe. If chilled bring to room temperature before serving, Ingredients:
1 cup hard or semi hard cheese cubes or cut up |
such as: gouda,or swiss, or provolone, or cheddar etc |
3 tbs mayonnaise |
1 garlic clove minced |
1 tbs minced fresh onion |
1 tsp dijon mustard |
1/2 tsp dried parsley |
optional to taste: one or even all: liquid smoke, fresh lemon juice, creamy horseradish, drops of hot sauce etc |
Directions:
1. Using a food processor, fine chop the cheese. 2. Dump cheese into a mixing bowl and add the mayo, garlic, Dijon mustard, onion and parsley and stir and mix all well. 3. If desired seasonal with some of the optional ingredients to taste 4. Place in a small serving bowl and surround with crackers. 5. May double recipe if desired. |
