This is from my Great Aunt Kay. Although us kids never call her that, Just Aunt.... I think she's younger than my mom was..... yeah-up Grandma's little brother was a cradle robber.... Ingredients:
2 8oz pkg cream cheese |
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese, like cracker barrel |
1 tsp worcestershire sauce |
1 tbs each of: chopped pimento, chopped onion and chopped green pepper |
1 tsp lemon juice |
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans |
substitutions |
chives for green pepper and onions |
green olives - salad style - and leave out pimento |
Directions:
1. Combine softened cream cheese and cheddar cheese, mix well 2. Add the remaining ingredients except for nuts, and chill 3. Shape into balls and roll in nuts 4. Better if made a day ahead. |
