Parmesan White Pizza Sauce |

So far, I like this sauce with chicken, crab, shrimp, spinach and mushrooms. Recipe is from Betty Crocker. Ingredients:
1 tablespoon butter or 1 tablespoon margarine |
1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup) |
1 garlic clove, finely chopped |
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour |
1/2 cup chicken broth |
1/3 cup milk |
1 teaspoon dried basil leaves |
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese |
Directions:
1. In 1-quart saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Cook onion and garlic in butter about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until soft. Stir in flour until blended. 2. Gradually stir in broth, milk and basil. Cook about 3 minutes, stirring constantly, until thickened. Remove from heat; stir in cheese. Use immediately or store in refrigerator up to 1 week. |
