Polenta, a staple of northern Italy, is traditionally made from cornmeal. We added a little Southern flair to this dish by replacing the cornmeal with grits. Ingredients:
2 3/4 cups boiling water |
2 cups uncooked instant grits |
1/4 cup (1 ounce) shredded parmesan cheese |
1 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary |
1/2 teaspoon black pepper |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Combine boiling water and grits in a medium bowl. Stir in cheese and remaining ingredients. Serve immediately. |
