Grits makes me think of bland and boring. But this combination is extremely tasty and interesting.
Ingredients:
3 c water
1 c milk
1 c quick-cooking grits
1 teas salt
1/2 c parmesan cheese
Directions:
1. Bring water, milk, grits and salt to a boil in a heavy, large saucepan.
2. Whisk constantly.
3. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer until grits are tender and creamy, stirring occasionally.
4. About 10 minutes.
5. Add cheese and whisk until melted.
6. Season to taste with pepper.
