These are nice tid bits to have around for snacks.especially during the holidays. From the kitchen of Master Chief Henri Baxter, USN (Retired) Ingredients:
1/2 c. unsalted butter |
1 c. all-purpose flour |
1 c. grated parmigiano-reggiano |
Directions:
1. In a food processor, combine ingredients, and pulse until dough comes together. 2. Turn dough out onto a piece of plastic wrap, and form it into a log 1 1/2 inches in diameter. 3. Chill until firm, at least 2 hours. 4. Heat oven to 325° 5. Grease two baking sheets. 6. Cut log into 1/4 -inch-thick crackers, and place them an inch apart on sheets. 7. Bake until firm, about 12 to 13 minutes. 8. Remove baking sheets from oven, and raise temperature to 500 F. 9. When temperature comes up to correct heat, return sheets to oven, and bake for 3 minutes more, or until crackers are deeply golden brown all over. 10. Let cool on a wire rack. 11. Yield: 40 crackers |
