Savory scone, you can serve them with cream cheese or chilli jam.Not for kids. Ingredients:
22og just over 2 cups of sr flour |
1/2 tsp salt |
1 tsp chilli powder |
30g 2tbsp butter |
85g 1 cup grated parmesan |
150ml 2/3 cup of buttermilk |
Directions:
1. preheat oven to 2ooc 392f, dust a baking sheet with flour. Sieve the flour and salt in to a bowl, rub in the butter until it resembles breadcrumbs then stir in cheese and chilli. Make a well in the middle of the flour pour in the b.milk mix with a knife to get a soft dough. with your hands gently bring in to a ball on a floured surface roll it out to 2.5cm thickness and use a pastry cutter to cut out small circles. Place on the baking sheet, dust the scones with flour and bake for 7-10mins, until risen and brown. Trick to check the are cooked through give them a tap on the bottom if they sound hollow there ready. |
