I first made this for Christmas Eve a few weeks after we we married. My husband's aunt decided he had married a great girl. It's know known as the good chicken . From Farm Journal's Cooking For Company cookbook Ingredients:
1 1/3 cups herb seasoned stuffing mix (the crumbly kind, not cubes) |
1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese |
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt |
1 1/4 teaspoons salt |
1/4 teaspoon black pepper |
1 teaspoon msg (optional) |
3/4 cup butter |
16 pieces chicken |
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. 2. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. 3. Crush stuffing mix to make coarse crumbs-put in pie pan. 4. Add the Parmesan and seasonings to the crumbs. 5. Melt 1/2 cup butter in a shallow pan. 6. Dip the chicken pieces in the melted butter, then in the crumbs. 7. Dot the chicken pieces with bits of the remaining butter. 8. Bake for 45 to 60 minutes. |
