Parmesan Butter Pan Biscuits |

Parmesan and basil make the difference in these country style pan biscuits. Land-O-Lakes Cookbook. Ingredients:
1/3 cup butter |
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour |
2 tablespoons parmesan cheese, grated |
1 tablespoon sugar |
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder |
1 teaspoon basil leaves |
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped |
1 cup milk |
Directions:
1. heat oven to 400*F. 2. in a 9 sq baking pan melt butter in oven. 3. meanwhile in meduin bowl combine all ingredients except milk. 4. stir in milk just until moistened. 5. turn dough onto lightly floured surface, knead 10 times until smooth. 6. roll dough into 12x4 rectangle. 7. cut into 12 (1 ) strips. 8. dip each strip into melted butter, place in same pan. bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly browned. |
