For the best garlic bread, use a baguette with a sturdy crust. Ingredients:
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened |
2 teaspoons garlic, minced |
2 teaspoons fresh parsley, minced |
1 teaspoon kosher salt |
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano |
1/4 teaspoon paprika |
1 baguette, italian, halved lengthwise |
1/2 cup parmesan cheese, shredded |
Directions:
1. Preheat broiler with oven rack 3–4 inches from the element. 2. Combine butter, garlic, parsley, salt, oregano, and paprika; spread mixture on cut sides of baguette and sprinkle with Parmesan. 3. Broil bread, buttered-side up, on a baking sheet until toasted, 1–3 minutes. Remove from oven, then cut into 2-inch pieces. |
