This is my Hungarian version of Jalapeno poppers...it has a very good and creamy taste from the cheese that is used and heat from the peppers and the Hot paprika.....a sure hit for parties or anytime. Its a flavor explosion in your mouth. Ingredients:
6-8 jalapeno peppers , cut in half and cored. |
smoked goudam cheese slices....about 1/4 lb. |
jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined. |
bacon , do not cut strips in half...keep whole. |
hot szeged paprika |
Directions:
1. Cut peppers in half and core them. 2. place cheese slices in half the pepper and cut shrimp in half and put on top of cheese. 3. now sprinkle top with the hot paprika. 4. now wrap the bacon around the pepper from top to bottom. 5. place on baking dish and bake at 375 for 40 minutes. 6. I used a great sauce for dipping that goes very well with this, 7. it is called Iron Chef Rum flavoured Pineapple Duck Sauce.....and it is the Bomb. 8. Enjoy |
