Ingredients:
3 tablespoons brown sugar |
1 teaspoon dry mustard |
1 teaspoon paprika |
1 teaspoon chili powder |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
1/4 cup water |
3 tablespoons catsup |
2 tablespoons butter or margarine |
2 tablespoons vinegar |
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce |
1 tablespoon lemon juice |
1 (3- to 3 1/2-pound) chicken, cut up |
Directions:
1. Combine first 12 ingredients in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil; remove from heat. Dip chicken in barbecue sauce, and place in a large, well-greased, brown bag. Pour remaining sauce over chicken. Close bag; secure with staples. 2. Place bag in a large Dutch oven; bake, covered, at 500° for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 300°, and bake 1 hour and 15 minutes. |
