Payday is far away and I need to use up whats left in the pantry. I didn't measure anything so the measurements are a guess but this turned out to be a fantastic chicken salad in a pita! Who doesn't love easy and cheap!Oh, and dates are always in my pantry since they are great on salad and the kids love them! Ingredients:
1 (10 ounce) can 98% fat free canned chicken, packed in water |
2 tablespoons mayonnaise |
1/4 teaspoon celery seed |
1/8 teaspoon seasoning salt (lawrys) |
7 dates |
Directions:
1. chop the dates to small pieces. 2. toss with the canned, drained chicken, two spoonfuls of mayo, 2 hearty shakes of seasoning salt and a good heavy pinch of celery seed. |
