Paneer Manchurian is a dry indian appetizer taken from Chinese recipe. Ingredients:
1 lb paneer |
2-3 green chillies |
sliced onion |
sliced capsicum |
chopped spring onion |
chopped coriander leaves |
chopped garlic |
3-4 tsp tomato sauce |
1 tsp soya sauce |
oil for frying |
salt to taste |
for the marinade |
3/4 cup maida |
1/4 cup cornflour(corn starch) |
2 tsp ginger-garlic paste |
1/4 tsp cumin powder |
1/4 tsp pepper powder |
1/2 tsp red chilli powder |
orange-red food color |
salt to taste |
Directions:
1. Cut the paneer to 1/2 inch cubes and keep aside. 2. Mix all the ingredients in the marinade with little water to form a medium consistency paste. 3. Mix the paneer cubes with this marinade, refrigerate it for about 1 hour. 4. Before frying, keep it out for about half an hour. 5. Now fry these paneer cubes in oil on medium heat till crispy. 6. In a separate pan heat about 2 tsp oil, add green chillies, onions, garlic and capsicum one by one and slightly fry them. 7. Add tomato sauce and soya sauce and mix it well. Add salt if needed. 8. Finally add all the fried paneer cubes and mix it well. 9. Garnish with coriander leaves. 10. Serve hot with tomato sauce. |
