Traditionally a Philippine dish, it goes well with a Chinese menu. Ingredients:
2 tablespoons canola oil |
2 cups broccoli, chopped in 1 inch pieces |
1/4 cup onion, sliced |
1/4 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced |
1 cup celery, chopped |
1 cup carrot, thinly sliced |
1 cup chinese cabbage, shredded |
5 tablespoons soy sauce |
8 ounces rice sticks (called bijon) |
Directions:
1. Saute' broccoli, onion, mushrooms, and celery for about 2 minutes. 2. Add carrots and cook an additional 2 minutes, then add cabbage. 3. Break rice sticks apart; soak in warm water until tender. Drain and add to vegetables. 4. Add soy sauce - mixing well. |
