We eat these any time of the day. This is a very basic recipe. I just want it out here for my children, who are scattered across the country to find so they can use Mom's recipe. We love pancakes with home made syrup. Ingredients:
2 cups flour |
2 teaspoons baking soda |
1 teaspoon sea salt |
1 egg, slightly beaten |
1 1/2 to 1 3/4 cup milk |
2 tablespoons oil |
Directions:
1. Mix everything together, in a 4 cup measuring cup. 2. I like a fluffy pancake so I use a little more milk, my Daddy always said he wanted a meal that stuck to his ribs, so Mom uses the 1 1/2 cups of milk. You decide. 3. Pre-heat the slillet so that when you drop a few drops of water on it they sizzle and vanish. 4. On my electric stove its between 5 and 6. 5. Pour enough pancake batter to form a 6 inch pancake into the pan. 6. Cook until the top is bubbly. 7. Flip, cook for another minute. 8. Serve with warm maple syrup or your own home made syrup. 9. Enjoy. |
