I was at my best friend's house and she told me I was to make the veggie so I came up with this and it was a hit to bad we only made a small package best to use jarred garlic *I never do, but in this case it worked better. If you add sugar even a pinch to your veggie, it brings out the flavor like you cannot even know. Try on onion potato soup. A pinch - it's better than salt.* Ingredients:
1 lb of thin asparagus |
1 1/2 cups water |
1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil |
2 tablespoons butter |
3 large minced jarred garlic cloves |
2 teaspoons sugar |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Snap asparagus stems at tough spot. 2. Lay in a frying pan add 1 1/2 cups of water boil till they are crisp tender this will be till they are still green but they bend. 3. Drain and return to a low simmer add butter olive oil and simmer till butter is melted add garlic and coat asparagus add sugar salt and pepper toss and serve very tasty. |
