a batch of deep fried battered vegetables Ingredients:
1 potato finely diced |
1/2 cup chopped spinach |
1/2 onion, diced |
1/4 tsp chopped chili |
1/2 cup besan flour |
1/4 cup water |
Directions:
1. peel and dice potato. Dice spinach and onion, place all vegetables in a bowl with chili, besan flour and water. 2. Mix till flour is blended 3. Heat a cup of vegetable oil in a wok or small saucepan. 4. Slowly place a spoonful of battered mixture into the hot oil, pressing it against the side to prevent splitting up. Turn over lots, cook until browned but not burnt; drain on absorbent paper. 5. Serve pakoras with sweet chili sauce or ketchup. |
