Ingredients:
6 eggs |
1 cup cream |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 tablespoon cinnamon |
1 tablespoon vanilla extract |
12 slices thick bread |
2 cups coarsely ground almonds |
2 tablespoons butter |
powdered sugar |
sliced seasonal fruit |
Directions:
1. Beat the eggs, add the cream, salt, cinnamon and vanilla. Submerge the bread slices in the egg mixture for 5 minutes. Lay both sides of the bread in the almonds to coat. Heat the butter in a heavy pan until the foam subsides, then add the slices of bread. Cook over low flame until delicate brown.
