This is from Pookie's Bed 'N Breakfast. It's a nice french toast. you need to do the first few steps the night before so you can marinate the bread. Ingredients:
4 large eggs |
2 cups milk |
1/3 cup marmalade |
1/3 cup orange juice concentrate |
1/2 ounce brandy |
1 loaf french bread (10-12 inches) |
1 cup heavy cream |
1/4 cup sugar |
1/3 cup orange juice concentrate |
Directions:
1. Mix eggs, milk, sugar, marmalade, orange juice concentrate and brandy in a large bowl with an electric mixer Cut bread into 1 thick slices and dip into the custard mixture. 2. Place the pieces in a flat pan 1. 3. 5-2 deep. 4. Pour remaining custard mixture over the top. 5. Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight, turning bread once. 6. Spray electric skillet with non-stick cooking spray. 7. Heat to 225-275F and cook bread for 30 minutes on each side. 8. Serve with Orange Cream. 9. Orange Cream. 10. Beat ingredients together until thick. |
