1 lb green beans, trimmed and cut in half |
1 tablespoon butter |
1 tablespoon oil |
1 garlic clove, minced |
1 red onion, chopped |
2 tablespoons chopped red bell peppers |
1 serrano chili pepper, seeded and minced |
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger |
3/4 cup chicken stock |
2 teaspoons soy sauce |
Directions:
1. In a medium saucepan heat butter and olive oil over medium heat. 2. Add garlic, onion, red pepper, chile pepper, and ginger and sauté until all ingredients are softened. 3. Add green beans, tossing until coated. 4. Stir in chicken stock and soy sauce. 5. Cover and cook over moderate heat until beans are tender-crisp. |
