From my collection of handwritten recipes. Note: Needs to marinate at least 5 hours. Ingredients:
3/4 cup olive oil |
1/4 cup soy sauce |
3 tablespoons honey |
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar |
1 garlic clove |
1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger |
1 green onion, chopped |
2 lbs flank steaks |
Directions:
1. In a small bowl combine oil, soy sauce, honey, red wine vinegar, garlic, ginger, and green onion. Mix well. Place steak in a large plastic bag, pour marinade over and secure bag tightly. Allow meat to marinate in refrigerator for at least 5 hours, turning several times. Grill about 2 above white hot coals or under a broiler for 4-5 minutes on each side. To serve, slice thin strips diagonally across the grain of the meat. |
