Oysters on the Half Shell with Cucumber-Sake Mignonette |

Use a good sake in the recipe and serve, chilled, with the oysters. Ingredients:
1/2 cup minced peeled english cucumber |
1/4 cup rice wine vinegar |
2 tablespoons sake (rice wine) |
1/2 teaspoon minced shallots |
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper |
1/8 teaspoon sea salt |
16 shucked oysters |
Directions:
1. Combine first 6 ingredients in a small bowl; stir gently. Chill 15 minutes. Spoon 1 1/2 teaspoons cucumber mixture over each oyster. |
