This is simple and really good. Ingredients:
1 pint frozen oysters |
2 cups coarse cracker crumbs |
1/2 cup melted butter |
1/4 tsp. pepper |
3/4 cup light cream or half & half |
1/4 tsp. worcestershire sauce |
1/2 tsp. salt |
Directions:
1. Drain and rinse the Oysters, preserving 1/4 cup of Oyster liquor. 2. Combine cracker crumbs and butter. 3. Spread 1/3 crumbs in a small casserole or baking dish - cover with Oysters and sprinkle with pepper - repeat layers, saving a portion of buttered crumbs. 4. Combine light cream with 1/4 cup Oyster liquid, Worcestershire sauce and salt. Pour over top of Oysters then top with remaining crumbs. 5. Bake at 350 F about 40 minutes. |
