A dependable favorite when you have a group to feed. Since the entire prep is done the day before, it's a perfect hearty offering that doesn't leave you with a big cooking mess first thing in the morning! Ingredients:
8 eggs, beaten |
6 slices bread (your choice) cubed |
1 lb. of your favorite sausage, crumbled, browned and cooled |
2 cups milk |
1cup sharp cheese, grated |
1 tsp. salt |
1 tsp. dry mustart |
pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and cover. 2. Refrigerate overnight. (or at least 12 hours). 3. Pour into a greased 9X13 pan. 4. Bake 350 45-55 minutes. 5. Cut into squares and serve. 6. We like to smother our portions in homemade salsa! Recipe to follow. |
