Overnight Maple French Toast Bake |

Ingredients:
12 slices bread, cubed |
8 ounces cream cheese, cubed |
8 eggs |
1 cup milk |
1/2 cup maple syrup |
additional syrup |
Directions:
1. arrange half of the bread in greased 2 qt baking dish. top with cream cheese and remaining bread. 2. In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk and syrup; pour over bread. 3. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before baking. 4. Cover and bake 350 for 30 minutes. Uncover, bake 20-25 minutes longer or until golden brown. Serve with additional syrup. 5. I didn't have enough maple syrup so I substituted kayro (clear) syrup for the 1/2 cup and used what I had to pour over the french toast when it was done. Tasted great. |
