I love this easy prepare the night before recipe. The bread soaks up all the moisture and makes a delicious puffy french toast when fried the next morning! Ingredients:
8 slices french bread (3/4-inch thick) |
4 eggs |
1 cup milk |
2 tablespoons orange juice |
1 tablespoon sugar |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
2 tablespoons butter, softened |
Directions:
1. Arrange bread in a 9X12 pan. 2. Beat eggs; blend in remaining ingredients. 3. Pour mixture over bread; turning slices to coat evenly. 4. Refrigerate overnight. 5. Fry in skillet over medium heat. |
