My husband likes to eat breakfast before opening presents on Christmas morning. I make this the night before and get up an put in the oven before the kids got up. Ingredients:
5 cups soft bread crumbs |
1 1/2 cups grated swiss cheese |
1 cup monterey jack cheese grated |
1 pound of bacon, cooked and crumbled |
8 eggs beaten |
1 2/3 cup milk |
2 green onions, chopped |
1 tbsp prepared mustard |
1/4 tsp pepper |
Directions:
1. the day before: butter a 9 x 13 pan. Spread bread cubes in dish. 2. sprinkle with cheeses and bacon. 3. combine remaining ingredients, pour over all. 4. cover with foil 5. refrigerate overnight 6. remove dish from refrigerator, let stand 20 minutes 7. bake 325 35-45 minutes. 8. remove foil the last 10 minutes |
