                    This is my sister Pat's recipe and one of my favorites. Combine it with her Marie Calendar Corn Bread recipe and you've got a tasty meal! The recipe can be doubled or tripled with great success. Ingredients: 
                    
                        
                                                1-1/2 lbs stew meat  |  
                                                4 - 6 carrots; quartered or 1 small pkg of baby carrots  |  
                                                4 - 6 potatoes; peeled and quartered  |  
                                                1 sweet onion; peeled and quartered  |  
                                                1 large can tomatoes  |  
                                                1 pkg dry onion soup mix  |  
                                                1 can cream of mushroom soup  |  
                                                
                     
                    Directions: 
                    
                        
                            
                                1. Combine all into an oven safe dish or pot. 2. Cook in a slow oven (325 degrees) for 4 hours. 3. Note: DO NOT brown stew meat before adding to mixture. Meat will cook completely in stew.                              |
