A quick, clean and healthier way to do fries. I vary the seasonings, but this one with salt, chile powder and cumin is one of my favorites. They don't taste the same like fried fries, of course. but I really don't know which ones I like more, the oven fried or the real ones . Read more ... Ingredients:
4 med. russet potatoes, washed, scrubbed and dried |
1 tb chile powder ( i like rancho gordo's ) |
1-2 ts cumin, roasted and ground |
1 tb kosher salt |
1 tb olive oil |
aioli for dipping |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 425 F. 2. Cut the potatoes into 1/2 inch sticks lengthwise, don't peel. In a bowl, mix with the other ingredients. Put the potatoes, in one layer, on a baking sheet, lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20 to 25 min., turning once, until cooked and nicely browned. |
