I have two trees loaded with chestnuts. My grandfather, who was from Sicily, would always roast his chestnuts this way...I remember them as a child smelling really good. Hope you enjoy! Ingredients:
1/2 lb chestnuts |
sea salt or kosher salt |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. 2. Place an x in the chestnut. 3. Place chestnuts in an old aluminum pie pan. 4. Sprinkle salt over chestnuts. 5. Roast chestnuts in the oven for about 15 minutes. 6. Remove cover and enjoy! |
