This is a quick and easy sidedish adapted from Southern Living. Ingredients:
3 lbs fresh asparagus |
2 tablespoons olive oil |
3 garlic cloves, minced |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper |
1/2 cup slivered almonds, toasted |
Directions:
1. Snap off and discard tough ends of asparagus. 2. Place asparagus on a lightly greased baking sheet. 3. Drizzle with oil and sprinkle with garlic, salt, and pepper. 4. Bake at 350ยบ for 10 minutes or until your desired degree of tenderness. 5. Transfer to a serving dish and sprinkle with almonds. |
